David Hockney exhibiton @ Salts Mill

 

I'd never being to Saltaire before so going to see Hockney's exhibition at Salts Mill was cool. I liked the larger scale pieces the most, where he has used shape.  I think I also preferred the more simple images he exhibited as well, without much colour.

 

Joan Cornellà exhibition @ Munro House

 

I went to the Joan Cornellà exhibition at Munro House last week and totally loved it! I'd heard of him before but I wasn't that familiar with his work, so wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I really like the flat colour he achieves through his use of print. The vibrancy of the colours in my opinion are also really interesting, considering a lot of his images a quite dark it's funny that these topics are sometimes juxtaposed by how bright the colours are.
